Changelog

A running list of what we've shipped. Features, tax jurisdictions, guides, and the quiet infrastructure work in between — in reverse chronological order, grouped by rough week. We update this when we update the product, not on a release calendar.

Six new seller guides, one Instagram batch

Shipped six long-form guides covering Gumroad migration pain (export, payout delay), platform comparisons (Shopify vs Gumroad, Stripe vs Paddle), and product-type guides (ChatGPT prompts, fonts). Each has a quick-answer box at the top for the anxious searcher and the honest voice we've been building toward.

Also drafted and rendered Instagram batch 4 (posts 48-53), one per new guide, with a dated posting schedule. All six guides include full schema.org structured data (Article + BreadcrumbList + FAQPage) for search snippets.

Mobile audit + bottom-sheet modals

Full-pass audit of the seller dashboard and checkout widget at mobile widths. Converted the refund modal, update-push modal, and integrations detail modals to bottom-sheet layout on narrow screens. Fixed the checkout widget's country + state selects to stack on mobile. Audited email templates for Outlook-safe gradient fallbacks on the license-key block.

10 US states live for sales tax

Encoded the final 8 states (Maryland, Arizona, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah) on top of Texas and New York from the week before. Puerto Rico IVU remains the primary jurisdiction. The composite tax provider now routes buyers automatically; a seller only has to toggle on the states where they're registered.

Nexus threshold monitoring already covers all 50 US states — pricing is live in 10 of them, the rest return a review flag until we encode them. Each state module links to the matching full guide in the guides library.

Standard-only mode and a tiered pre-launch checklist

Hid the Stripe Connect Express tier behind two feature flags — one on the backend, one on the dashboard. Standard-only is the launch posture: every seller connects their own Stripe, SurcoPay collects a flat per-sale fee via Stripe's application-fee mechanism, and no funds ever route through our account.

Published the tiered launch checklist that paces legal and business paperwork against waitlist growth so we don't spend before interest justifies it.

Terms, Privacy, Prohibited, Copyright

Published the four legal pages at /terms, /privacy, /prohibited, and /copyright. Covers merchant-of-record allocation (seller is MoR, SurcoPay is a technology provider), GDPR + UK rights, prohibited product categories, and DMCA designated-agent info. Some bracketed placeholders remain until the PR entity is formally registered — tracked in the launch checklist.

Product-type features for digital creators

Env config hardening and the local↔prod seams

Named environment files (one per deployment target), one-command local dev, and a startup-time safety check that refuses to boot the API in production with dev-shaped secrets. Closed the last couple of seams between local and prod behavior where silent drift was possible.

Guides library crosses 40 posts

The first thirty+ guides covering fee math, Gumroad migration, state tax primers for the big states, Etsy comparisons, product-type playbooks, and the ATH Móvil business series. Together with Instagram batches 1-3, this forms the organic content loop driving waitlist signups.

Waitlist signup fields

Added country (required) and product-type (optional) to the waitlist form. Country lets us honor privacy regime rules at onboarding; product-type lets us line up the right guide links in the first "welcome to the waitlist" email.

What's next

Public roadmap is small and intentional. The next things we're working on, in rough order:

Nothing in the roadmap is a dated promise. We ship when it's ready, and we tell you here when it does.
